New books arrived!

In October 2022 we had a volunteer/researcher from Poland visited us. It happened that Krzysztof from LibrAfrica in Poland started collecting English books for out pupils in Nakivale refugee camp and it was an opportunity to passed them to the researcher who delivered them to us. Apart from books, there were pens, pencils, crayons, and some coloured pencils and this was something great as our learners are passionate about art, and they enjoy reading and have been missing books. Thankfully they can now read. Although still sharing these books among themselves as they were not enough but we are grateful since they reached and this has brought a positive impact on their learning development. Now they are ever busy reading even in the absence of teachers.

May of our thanks go to LibrAfrica foundation and particularly to everyone who donated to those materials.

We added on the 4th room to always be in the school premises. Although unfinished yet but it's the one helping our tailoring skills trainees to get the shade as they perform their daily practices. However, they're urgently requesting for help to set their room away from the school as they are facing challenge when the kids feel hungry (before we informed you on Facebook about how children are starving in our school). They come and start bothering their poor mothers to provide food who also don't have due to the insufficient monthly ration that UNHCR is providing to refugees (less than $5 per month). This is stressing them much while they come to learn to sew clothes.

So for any good-hearted person reading this, our current needs for this term are:

- daily basis porridge for our hungry learners,

- some more sewing machines for tailoring center,

- a new room for these tailor trainees.

Thanks in advance for any support of whichever kind.
