New books arrived!

In October 2022 we had a volunteer/researcher from Poland visited us. It happened that Krzysztof from LibrAfrica in Poland started collecting English books for out pupils in Nakivale refugee camp and it was an opportunity to passed them to the researcher who delivered them to us. Apart from books, there were pens, pencils, crayons, and some coloured pencils and this was something great as our learners are passionate about art, and they enjoy reading and have been missing books. Thankfully they can now read. Although still sharing these books among themselves as they were not enough but we are grateful since they reached and this has brought a positive impact on their learning development. As mentioned in previous post we have started a little community with the support from our friendly organization in Poland IICHD (www.iichd.org). We are trying to find the help from other agencies by applying for various grants. Most recently we have sent the following application to UNHCR, unfortunately again without any feedback. We are posting it here as it describes precisely what we are doing and what our goals are. We are a nonprofit organization known as LibrAfrica in Uganda. Our mission is to empower communities to become sustainable through quality education and handicraft.  We are involved the following activities:     • provide education access to miserable refugee children,     • train women in tailoring,     • group farming to support these 2 projects. We are operating in Nakivale refugee camp in Uganda since 15/8/2019.   LIFE RESCUED This is a true story of my Life from my home country when I escaped a deadly incident until I reached the refugee camp in a foreign country where I started a humanitarian project.
